Update 11/16/14

Before we start this thing...we did it guys! We reached 3000 views. Can you believe it? I have been doing this blog for less than a year now and I have hit 3000 views...this makes me so very happy. This is what motivates me to post every single week like I do otherwise I'd probably sparingly write this blog and post whenever I felt like it. This is the greatest feeling and an amazing achievement. This is for you guys. Thank you.

Hey guys! So this is a blog that I have had planned for a very long time. Since I finished watching Noragami the first time. Hell even before then. This is my blog about my top fights in anime. Plus a manga review. Before we get started let me announce something amazing that happened. Last week's post was the first time that I have done a Voice Actor Spotlight and I chose to do one of my favorite voice actors. Monica Rial has always been an amazing presence in anime and she was an actor in all of the shows that I first started watching. Now I've said before that I like when Voice Actors take the time to read tweets and Facebook posts, but what happened on Sunday might just be the coolest thing to ever happen on Kat's Anime Corner. So when I had started to research Monica, I posted this on Twitter and she replied.

Then, on Sunday night she commented on my tweet about my blog post being up. This is what she had to say.

Do you know what that means? THE Monica Rial read my blog! AND she thought I did good! Guys, this is a huge deal. I just can't even right now...This brings this blog one step closer to achieving awesomeness. Though this blog would be nowhere without those 100+ views a week I get. I love you guys a lot. Now...

Let's get started.

First off I want to say that I won't spoil the fights or their pertinence to the series, I just love these fights and wanted to share what I deemed my top fights.

Top 10 Fights - One on One

1. Yato vs Rabo from Noragami - this penultimate fight between two Gods was just building through the anime

2. Eren vs Annie from Attack on Titan - did you see this one coming?

3. Natsu vs Jellal from Fairy Tail - one of Natsu's first badass fights

4. Sasuke vs Itachi from Naruto Shippuden - the fight that has been building up since the original series

5. Ichigo vs Ulquiorra from Bleach - another fight that had been building (I looked forward to this fight more than I did Ichigo vs Aizen)

6. Kirito vs Heathcliff from Sword Art Online - what did you think of this fight?

7. Allen vs Lavi from D. Gray-Man - this was a fight I wasn't expecting.

8. Mustang vs Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - revenge is bittersweet

9. Bulat vs Liver from Akame ga Kill - this fight saddens me

10. Rin vs Amaimon from Blue Exorcist - kinda thought this was pretty badass

Top 10 Fights - Teams

1. Natsu & Gajeel vs Sting & Rogue from Fairy Tail - who wasn't expecting this one?

2. Naruto & Kakashi vs Sasuke from Naruto Shippuden - this fight could have gone differently, so many feelings involved...maybe too many.

3. Everyone vs Father from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - the grand finale

4. Naruto & Bee vs Nagato & Itachi from Naruto Shippuden - this was a really funny fight because through the entire fight Naruto and Itachi are having his hella serious talk and they are duking it out

5. Sheele & Mine vs Seryu from Akame ga Kill - I feel like this was the fight that started it all in this show

6. Gotei 13 vs Espada from Bleach - a huge fight that was brewing since the very beginning and it was an amazing one

7. Kirito & Asuna vs Gleaming Eyes from Sword Art Online - the best boss fight because it showed how amazing Kirito is

8. Kirito & Sinon vs Death Gun from Sword Art Online - a fight that started in SAO that we didn't realize that was finished in GGO

9. Erza vs Kagura vs Minerva from Fairy Tail - at this point do we really know who is fighting who for what reason anymore...

10. Mikasa & Levi vs Female Titan from Attack on Titan - the amazing captain and the top rookie together? Fucking awesome.

I put a lot of thought into this and these are my top fights. I split it between two groups because I was having a hard time shortening these twenty into a list of ten. All of these fights I feel hold a great importance to the series and should not be taken lightly.

What are your favorite anime fights? Are there some you feel take the top spot? Let me know.

Review time!! So a while ago I had reviewed a little manga series called MeruPuri and a small anime series called Vampire Knight...well from the same author comes this next series, the series that started it all. Funnily enough this was my second series I read of hers. I read Vampire Knight first then Captive Hearts followed by MeruPuri.

Yes I am talking about Captive Hearts by Matsuri Hino. The 5 volume manga series spanned from 1999 to 2002. This is a supernatural romance manga that is amazing. Hino shows off her skills as a mangaka and even crosses the ocean by showing off her Chinese.

Megumi is a young, carefree college student who has only known the finer things in life. This is due to the disappearance of his father's Masters. When it is announced that the young heiress Suzuka was found in China. She is brought back to her home and Megumi soon learns of the curse placed on his family.

I think it is a beautiful story. It is interesting and a very refreshing series compared to what I have read before (until reading the Viewfinder series which takes on the same concept of Chinese and Japanese culture). I absolutely love it and wish she would write more stories like it.

My recommendation: read it and love it. I give it a 6 out of 10.

What is your favorite Matsuri Hino manga series? Let me know.

So this is it for this week. I was sick all week and I didn't get the chance to write my manga reviews so I will write next week about two chapters each.

Thanks for reading and thank you for the continuing support.

See you next week.

Ja ne.

xx Kat
