Update 3/22/15
Hey guys, it is once again a new week. However, there is something far more rewarding about this week. I am done with school! Hopefully. *crosses fingers* Plus I have a job, albeit it’s a part-time job, but it’s still a job nonetheless. So this week I plan on touching on a pretty controversial topic. I know what you’re thinking, why would I do this? Well it isn’t controversial in the sense that you’re thinking. It’s controversial in the sense that no one can seem to agree 100% so in a way this is my opinion and I wholly welcome your opinions as well. So let’s do this.
Top 10 Anime/Manga Couples
You are probably already complaining that I am redoing a blog post that I’ve already done before…no this one is not the same. You are probably thinking about the April 2014 post where I discussed the ships of anime/manga. That is completely different from actual established relationships. So this is where I break down my favorite couples. Ikimashou!
9. Tatsumi & Mine – Akame ga Kill (Manga Only - The anime version of this relationship sucked)

10. Tsubaki & Kyouta Tsubaki – Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu (Manga only - the anime & live action didn't really do the manga justice, the anime was alright but to fully grasp their relationship, you need to read the manga)

This is by far the most complicated list I have put together because as I have probably mentioned before, I am a hopeless romantic and I couldn’t fit everyone I wanted onto this little list. These though are some of my all-time favorite that get my heart racing every time I watch their stories unfold.

Top 10 Yaoi Couples
You had to see this list coming. I mean, if you didn’t, you don’t know me one bit. Okay, to be honest, even I didn’t plan on having both of these in the same update but I couldn’t think of what else to pair with these…so this happened.
1. Ewon Jung & Mookyul - Totally Captivated (Manga):
I know that I have done a manga review on this before, but I just can't get enough of them. They were one of my first yaoi couples and to this day I still get all fluttery whenever I read their story. *sigh*
2. Souichirou & Kaname - Brother X Brother (Manga):
Same as with Totally Captivated, this was one of my first yaoi stories. These two together are so cute and it's gets my heart beating fast every time I read the manga.
3. Akihito Takaba & Asami - You're My Loveprize in Viewfinder (Manga):
What's funny about this one is that I actually saw the anime first (not that it's much of an anime - look it up on YouTube if you're curious). The anime doesn't do this manga justice. It is so beautifully crafted (yes it is similar to Totally Captivated that it's about "gang"-related stuff, but it's different...trust me). Akihito and Asami are a perfect couple because they (not to be cheesy) complete each other. I cannot wait to see how the rest of their story unfolds.
4. Val & Hallwil - Crimson Spell (Manga):
This is a very unconventional couple. I can't decide if they love or hate each other. All I know is that they cannot live without each other. I am so excited to see how this story unfolds.
5. Miyata & Shirai - Tonari no Jijou (Manga):
I cry. No seriously. Every time that I read this story, I cry. Miya and Shirai's story is so bittersweet and beautiful that it moves me to tears. It's a short manga, but it is as beautiful as any long story.
6. Ryouma & Izumi - Love Stage!! (Manga):
EEEK!! I love this story and this couple!! The anime didn't do this story justice AT ALL (it feels like I've said this like two or three times already...). They are so cute and innocent with each other. Unlike the others on this list, these two are still learning about how to be a couple yet they could hold their own against any on this list. Well...maybe not the top three...
7. Shinpei & Ryo - Hitomi no Dokusenyoku (Manga):
A couple of models who fall in love...yeah it's a plot seen several times over, but I just can't get enough of this story. The other models featured don't interest me the way Shinpei and Ryo do. I think they are perfect for one another.
8. Towa Aikawa & Mikado Shirahane - I Want to Be Naughty Series (Manga):
If you didn't see this one coming...well you don't know me. Yes there are plenty of couples to chose from in this series, but nothing gets me as much as Towa and Mikado. They are a rough couple who still has a lot to learn (though I almost put Katekyo's Rintarou and Kaede in this spot...it was a tough choice).
9. Shion & Nezumi - No. 6 (Manga/Anime):
I don't even know what to say about them. These two were a slow building couple who have a sad story between them. I keep my heart open that they will be reunited one day.
10. Rintarou & Kyo - Koishite Daddy/Love Kids (Manga):
This love story started when they were kids and continues on into adulthood (almost). I hope that one day I can read the third installment in the series so that I can read how their story turns out.
I know that I have done a manga review on this before, but I just can't get enough of them. They were one of my first yaoi couples and to this day I still get all fluttery whenever I read their story. *sigh*

Whether these are actually love songs or not, these songs get me feeling romantic. Some of these are sad but some are happy. Whatever the feeling they give off, it is one of romantic feelings that strike a cord in my heart (again with the damn cheesy lines)...
