Update 3/30/14

Hey Guys!

Welcome to another update. (Yes, I am actually writing this days before rather than the day of).

Last week I hit a milestone: 260 views!!! *screams for days*

You all rock! Thank you so much for getting me here in such a short amount of time!

In honor of that milestone, I am going to offer an insight into my world. A tour if you will of my manga and anime collection. I know I have talked about it before but my collection is ever growing. I own hard copies and digital copies alike. Movies, shows, manga, and CDs. VizMedia and Funimation. I am extremely proud of my collection...says the obsessive otaku.

Anime: D. Gray-Man, Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, Bleach, Vampire Knight, Sailor Moon, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan Demon City, Fairy Tail (one episode), and Robotics;Notes (one episode).

Manga: Bleach, D. Gray-Man, Naruto, Ouran High School Host Club, Vampire Knight, Ai Ore!, Backstage Prince, Beast Master, Blue Exorcist, Captive Hearts, Demon Love Spell, Magi, MeruPuri, S.A: Special A, The Earl and The Fairy, and Wanted.

CDs: Bleach, D. Gray-Man, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hakkenden, Naruto, Pandora Hearts, and Vampire Knight.

Yeah I own a lot of stuff plus I have my subscriptions to Netflix, Crunchyroll, and HuluPlus. That also doesn't include my games. The video games I own currently: Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, Naruto Shippuden Naruto vs Sasuke, and Bleach The Blade of Fate. I am trying to get my hands on Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst. Also you can count if you want my Naruto necklace, my Black Butler bracelet, my Hello Kitty collection, and my many pictures hanging around my room. Some of which were drawn by yours truly.

Now it seems like I am bragging. Sorry.

Moving on.

I am excited to announce a new review (no spoiler alerts this time). Without further ado.

Strike the Blood

Arc One - The Right Arm of the Saint (4 ep)
Arc Two - From The Warlord's Empire (4 ep)
Arc Three - The Amphisbaena (4 ep)
Arc Four - Labyrinth of the Blue Witch (3 ep)
Arc Five - Fiesta of the Observers (4 ep)
Arc Six - Return of the Alchemist (3 ep)
Arc Seven  - Empire of the Dawn (2 ep)

Aired every Friday on Crunchyroll - currently 24 episodes long. Hoping they decide to do a second season of this show. I absolutely love this show and the fact that you have multiple arcs that tell different stories but they all connect makes it worth the watch. This show premiered on October 4th of 2013. It is a vampire show with a lot of magical. scientific, and technological advances. The main character Akatsuki Kojou has become the 'Fourth Progenitor' and is one of the most powerful beings alive. He gains an observer who is to stay by his side and intervene if he loses control.

This is definitely an ecchi, harem show. The only way that Kojou can become his vampire self is to either lose a deathly amount of blood or get 'worked up'. Yeah, your basic ecchi plot line.

Now for those fans that like music *raises hand meekly* then this show is definitely for you. The show has two opening credits that are amazing! The first opening is "Strike the Blood" by Kishida Kyodan and The Akeboshi Rockets and the second opening is "Fight 4 Real" by Altima. Plus the second ending animation is my favorite featuring the vocal stylings of Kanon Wakeshima (well known for her riveting songs in the end of the popular Vampire Knight series). The opening songs really represent the feeling of the show especially Fight 4 Real which gives off the tone of desperation as a lot of situations that happen put the characters in fitting scenes. On another note, sometimes if you stick through the end credits you get bonus scenes! One scene is definitely worth sticking around for because it plays a big part in later on in the show.

So fans are always concerned with the look of an anime. I have to say that the styling of this is very beautiful. It has the same feel as most of the new anime do, so much so that my little sister says that at times Akatsuki Kojou reminds her of Kuroko Tetsuya. Despite the fact that Kojou has more silver hair and eyes while Kuroko is blue...

While shows can have good music and good art, the one thing that makes the show complete is the actors. Did the studio select perfect actors for the characters? In the case of this show; they did.

Akatsuki Kojou - Yoshimasa Hosoya (known for Junpei Hyuga from Kuroko, he also played Reiner Braun from AOT but I've only seen one or two episodes so I can't really tell you about that)
Kimeragi Yukina - Risa Taneda (known for Asami Oikawa from Say "I Love You")
Aiba Asagi - Asami Seto (best known for Chihaya Ayase from Chihayafuru)
Yaze Motoki - Ryota Osaka (known for Marco Bodt from AOT, again...don't know much)
Akatsuki Nagisa - Rina Hidaka (known for Shizuka Kusanagi from Campione and Silica from SAO)
Kirasaka Sayaka - Ikumi Hayama (known for Arisa from Durarara!! and Anca Rheinberger from AOT)
Minamiya Natsuki - Kisako Kanemoto (Natsuki-chan is known for Nozomi from Bleach, Chiharu Ogawa from Say "I Love You", and Sera Kurashiki from Z/X Ignition)
Akatsuki Mimori - Sanae Kobayashi (ALLEN WALKER EVERYONE!!! Also the nun from Aquarion EVOL)

And my favorite:

Amatsuka Kou voiced by Yuki Kaji (do I really need to tell you who he has played?? I will anyway. Finn - Black Butler, Lyon Vastia - Fairy Tail, Walker Yumasaki - Durarara!!, Konekomaru Miwa - Blue Exorcist, Shu Ouma - Guilty Crown, ,Shion - No. 6, Amata Sora - Aquarion EVOL, Alibaba - Magi, Totsuka Tatara - K < if you don't get the feels from this name you should probably see this show, Kakeru Hayakawa - Say "I Love You', Megumu Hanemura - Blast of Tempest, Eren Yeager - AOT, Kanato Sakamaki - Diabolik Lovers, Asahina Wataru - Brothers Conflict, Shi Maiko - Nisekoi, Yukine - Noragami, Rentaro Satomi - Black Bullet)

Phew I got that out. If you can't guess he is up there next to my beautiful Mamoru Miyano as my favorite voice actor. Plus guys...guyss...it has Yuki Ono in it! Don't know who he is? For shame. Yuki Ono plays the one and only Kagami Taiga from Kuroko no Basuke.

So for the most part, what I am saying is. Pretty please watch this amazing show! I don't know about you but I absolutely love vampires and a good story such as this.

Available on Crunchyroll. (I am not in any way associated with Crunchyroll I just REALLY like them).

Character of the week. Yeah, it's that time again. You might notice that I am posting this before the update is finished. What does that mean? You'll have to wait and see.

So I posted two pictures on Instagram and Tumblr in regards to my Character of the Week.

My choice this week: Akashi Seijuro from Kuroko no Basuke.

Are you surprised? Did you guess it right?

So clearly Akashi is the darkest character in the series and the most mysterious. He is mentioned throughout season 1 but never really shown. He is smart and the creator of the Generation of Miracles. He is also the person who made Kuroko who he is. Which is probably why there is a lot of Akashi and Kuroko yaoi...*blushes*

Needless to say it isn't until season 2 that you meet Akashi outside of the Winter Cup when he collects his past teammates to talk to them. He proves how mentally unstable he is and how in control he is when he threatens Kagami. The scariest part is when you actually get to see him in action. But that is only something people who read the manga know. If you watch the anime...they haven't covered it yet. Plus did you all see the look on Akashi's face when he locked eyes with Midorima in the final episode. *shivers*

I am actually excited to see how the manga portrays the end of the current game that is going on. It may or may not change my love for Akashi.

Who is your favorite character? Want to see your character in Character of the Week? Let me know in the comments, on Instagram, on Tumblr, or on Twitter and I may just use your character.

Haha. While there you have it. Now for something I haven't done in a LOOOOONG time.

SPOILER ALERT! MANGA TALK!

Naruto

Was anyone else was shocked as I was when Naruto woke up to find the Six Path's in his head??? Okay, so not really because the Biju say he reminds them of him, but still. So he wakes up and is confused then is fed a whole history lesson when the Hermit drops the ultimate bombshell. Naruto is the reincarnation of his youngest son??? What?!?!

Yeah...my face as I was reading this.

In all seriousness though, Naruto was as confused and shocked as we were.

What do you think this means for the future? Will he be able to become the new Six Path's rather than Madara's version? Does this mean he will win the war? Who is the reincarnation of the elder brother? Is it Sasuke who is being healed by Kabuto? Is it Madara who never really died? Clearly I think it is an Uchiha, but which one? Obviously it isn't Obito who has been said to have a similar personality to Naruto. Also what do you think will happen with the Biju when the war is over? If Naruto wins, will he help them find new Jinchuriki? Will he let them go free? Will he take them all in himself? Also the biggest question of all...WHEN WILL HE BECOME HOKAGE? Or even the other big question...Is he STILL considered a Genin despite ALL he has been through?

Phew. I don't think this series can be over without those questions being answered.

Bleach

Still not a happy person over here. Ichigo has been gone for FAR too long. Rukia and Renji got there in a relatively quick fashion, so why can't Ichigo? Or is it that we are being forced to see simultaneous battles while our desire to see the newly powerful Ichigo is left unanswered

I will admit that seeing the relationship between Zaraki and Yachiru in these last chapters is super cute. Everyone knew that he was always protective of her, but with his new powers he gained from killing Unohana, he is even scarier when she is threatened. Though I think it also made him even crazier. I am curious to see if with his new powers if he is finally able to hear his sword. I think that would make him more powerful.

Though these Quincy are starting to piss me off. I can't wait for Ichigo to FINALLY show up and kick their asses. It has to be soon right? I hope. I may lose my mind if it doesn't happen soon.

Predictions? I want to see Ichigo awarded a Captain seat. I mean, it's already been stated that he is too powerful to go back to the Human World. So why not offer him the chance to be a Captain which he has deserved since he saved the Soul Society twice. Like really. He gave up his powers in order to lock up Aizen. Then he gained new powers, lost those, then regained his old powers in order to save the Soul Society...again. This time from an ex-Substitute Shinigami. Like really. Plus with the new leadership and the fact that he has been allowed in the Soul King's realm, I am certain that if those Soul Society guys don't offer him a position Squad Zero is certain to have a place for him.

I dunno. Still pissed, but Tite Kubo must have SOMETHING up his sleeve. We shall see. We shall see.

Well that is it for this week. Next week I will discuss a cool find that I made. Whether it is a good find or not, I'll leave it up to you.

Ja ne!

xx Kat
