Update 2/1/15

Hey guys! So last week was interesting. I tried something different in that I didn't announce on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram that I had updated. I still got a lot of views, so I am glad to know that you guys like me. Also, last week I talked about my favorite fan fiction stories for the anime world. I let all the authors know what I did, and this was their response.

These guys are all amazing people. They are nice and easy to talk to. Plus their stories are wonderful. I totally stand by my decision to add them to last weeks blog.

So let's get started.

January Recap

So January has been one hell of a month. Let's take a look at what has happened for me and this blog over the month.

A lot has happened and I find that I have learned more about myself in the last month, than I have in the last year. However, that is a story for another day. A feat for this blog is that we have hit over 4000 views. Be proud, this is all your guys' doing. I'm happy to share what I do with you. Even when I have bad days and don't want to do a damn thing. It's because you read this blog that I am motivated to write once a week.

Now another good thing that happened this month...I have expanded my anime collection. If you follow me on Instagram...I think I posted a picture of it. Not sure...it may have only been a Facebook picture...I have a bad memory. Anyway...I purchased the complete series of Death Note. Then a week later I purchased the live action movies, Death Note and Death Note 2: The Last Name. All I need to do is get the complete manga series, L Change the World, and the ReLight movies.

Some other exciting things that have happened. I have bought a lot of good music (that I will be sharing in later updates). Fairy Tail ended two arcs this month. One arc was the long running manga arc (which will start airing in the spring) breaking way for a new arc that will either make long time fans love it or hate it. The other arc was the anime arc that seemed rather pointless if you ask me. Then I have been really busy with school (reason why I am not on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as much anymore). All in all it's a new year that has started off rough and long.

Voice Actor Spotlight: Todd Haberkorn

As you all know, Todd Haberkorn is by far my favorite English voice actor. I love all his work because I think he is amazing at what he does. I first fell in love with him while watching the FUNimation series D. Gray-Man on Netflix. If I ever get the chance to meet him...man would I love it. I never got to go to AniMinneapolis when he was here because I had to work due to personnel constraints (no I don't mean that to be personal constraints...I really mean personnel because we were short staffed at work). However, at the signing for him and fellow FUNi VA Monica Rial, my best friend got him to call me as an early birthday present. He was so funny. He asked why I wasn't there and then he went on to instruct a task. He told me to take aluminum foil (I believe...at least something metal) and microwave it. Monica was in the background shouting that I shouldn't do it. I was so very happy and very speechless. It is my favorite memory so far.

Todd is a Voice Actor and ADR Director. He is some times credited as Todd Stone. He has been an ADR Director on shows such as Claymore, D. Gray-Man, Glassfleet, and Shuffle. He has a BFA in acting from Southern Methodist University. The 32-year-old voice actor has starred in as many as 90+ roles. Let's take a peek at some of the roles that I have seen Todd play.

I have been impressed by his work whether he is playing the courageous hero, the silly protagonist, a loyal friend, or a creepy-ass motherfucker; Todd has a way of pulling it off. I can't wait to see him in future roles and what other greatness he will grace us with.

So since I pretty much talked about what I was going to in the Fairy Tail section, I will hold off on doing that until next week with the start of the new anime arc. That means that this is the end of this week. Sad I know. I promise that in a few weeks I will have a better written few updates because I will have some time off, until then....

Have a great week and I will see you next Sunday.

Ja ne!

xx Kat
