Update 6/14/15

Hey guys! Guess what? Today is going to be a good day. Yeah unfortunately I had to work this morning but I get the rest of the day off. So do you guys watch Owari no Seraph? Yeah? Did you see yesterday's episode? Oh man was that amazing! Well since we are on the topic of Seraph of the End...let's dive right in to the new update (just so you are aware, check out the Kat's Anime Corner Facebook page to see a behind the scenes look at how I go about putting together this week's post...you'll also note the date in the video this post was finally done....)
Anyway, let's get started!

Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign

Owari no Seraph

If you haven't heard by now (even though I state it ALL the time), Seraph of the End is my favorite series right now. I fell in love with the manga series after reading the first chapter through Viz and I became hooked. When I heard they were going to do an anime series to correlate I was ecstatic. I was even more impressed when I found out that FUNimation had the rights to the series. Now we have a manga, a Japanese dub anime, and an English dub anime. I don't even think I can contain my excitement. Now I know what you must be thinking...why on earth is this crazy girl doing a review AGAIN. Hold your horses, reader, hold them horses steady. I am not reviewing Owari no Seraph, I am simply talking about it. Think of this as a sort of...encouragement for you to read/watch the series. I only decided to do this now because...well this post is going to be a discussion about a few of my favorite vampire things.

The manga series is amazing and if you (like myself) are a subscriber to Weekly Shonen Jump, then you have caught up to the newest chapter. If you aren't I highly recommend getting a subscription. You can subscribe here -> Weekly Shonen Jump <- !

The anime is just as amazing. If you want to watch the series you can swing by the FUNimation website to check out the vampire series -> Seraph of the End <- ! Like I said, FUNimation has added Seraph of the End to their Broadcast Dub/DubbleTalk line up and it is a different take on the show. It's really weird watching the two different interpretations.

Now if you are interested in purchasing the manga series you can visit these links below:
-> Viz Print <-
-> Amazon <-

So I have given you the tools, now go forth and enjoy. Also! There is a new feature on the Kat's Anime Corner Facebook page. It is called Chat! Where we can have discussions about anime? Or if you want to just hang out with me we can do that too. I just wanted to give more outlets for my readers so that we can create a community within this large anime community. Just some thoughts. You don't have to go with it.

Wow...I got off topic...let's move on.

Vampires

Myth, Legend, Anime.

Let's talk about something near and dear to my heart. I have always loved the supernatural world of vampires. That has now transferred to the anime and manga world. Whether it's a hot anime, a streamy fanfiction, or a beautiful manga, I love it all. Let's take a peek at my favorite vampires of anime!

Vampire Knight (Anime/Manga)

Yuki Cross is a first-year general education student at Cross Academy. As a member of the Disciplinary Committee, along with her childhood friend Zero Kiryu, her duty is to keep the infatuated Day Class students from chasing the beautiful Night Class students, all while performing the important task of protecting the secret of the Night Class. The secret...that all members of the Night Class are vampires!! The creation of the Night Class was an effort formed to end the long history of conflict by promoting a peaceful coexistence between human beings and vampires. As Guardians, Yuki and Zero are given the vital role of protecting the coexistence of the Day Class and the Night Class. Unlike Zero, who sees the vampires as enemies, Yuki believes vampires and humans can coexist. (Source: viz.com)

Dance in the Vampire Bund (Anime/Manga)

Nightmares creep into the waking hours as Mina Tepes, childlike Queen of the damned, shockingly appears on live television to announce her plans for a colony where her blood-sucking brethren can live in peace. As pandemonium engulfs the globe, Mina reconnects with a handsome face from her past: Akira, a brooding beast whose link to the queen is both powerful and mysterious. Together, Mina and Akira will bare their fangs and fight against an ancient evil. And though the Queen and her ferocious werewolf minions vow that no human blood will be spilled, there are others of her kind who yearn to sink their teeth into innocent flesh. Can Akira maintain his fleeting link to the realm of the living while battling to protect this ruthless and royal beauty? Only one thing is certain. The world's not ready for her reign. Millennium Snow (Manga)

Seventeen-year-old Chiyuki Matsuoka was born with heart problems, and her doctors say she won't live to see the next snow. Toya is an 18-year-old vampire who hates blood and refuses to make the traditional partnership with a human, whose life-giving blood would keep them both alive for a thousand years. By: Bisco Hatori. Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign (Anime/Manga)

From Wit Studio, the creative force behind Attack on Titan, comes a brand-new action series - Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign! After a mysterious virus wipes out ninety percent of humanity, vampires emerge from the recesses of the earth to enslave mankind, treating them like livestock. After growing tired of donating blood in exchange for protection, 12-year-old Yuichiro Hyakuya and his best friend Mikaela Hyakuya plot an escape along with the other orphans. After being the only successful runaway, Yuichiro joins the Moon Demon Company, an extermination unit of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army dedicated to killing off vampires. A true shone fan should not miss out on Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign! (Source: FUNimation.com)

Diabolik Lovers (Anime)

Yui Komori used to see dead people. But as troubling as past glimpses of spirits and psychic phenomena may have been, they pale into insignificance compared to what she's about to discover once she's forced to transfer to a new school. Because it turns out that her own history is very different from what she thought it was, and she has a very different kind of family waiting for her. Now she'll be sharing her living space with six very attractive young men, though not a single one is human. (Source: theanimenetwork.com)

Did DiaLover make your brain cells die when you first watched it? Have no fear, for all twelve episodes have been painstakingly rewritten with a character you can actually relate to. It's like doctored cake mix. (Rated for profanity). (Source: Fanfiction.net)

Upon popular demand, here's a direct continuation to the DiaLover "Revised" featuring tons of great Yuuki moments that you don't want to miss. Consider it a season two if you will. (Rated for profanity). (Source: Fanfiction.net)

Rosario + Vampire (Anime/Manga)

Tuscan's terrible grades stick him in the only school that will take him. To his mortification, all his classmates are monsters and if they figure out his human status, he's fresh meat! But when his scent attracts the hungry lips of a gorgeous vampire named Moka, it turns out he's a sucker for supernatural chicks. Before long, Tsukune is being seduced by a bouncy succubus, tormented by a witch who swings both ways, and felt-up by a stalker snow fairy. Mika doesn't mind sharing with her new friends, but her panties get in a twist when real danger threatens her boy-toy. Beastly bullies beware, because when Tsukune unlocks Moka's supermonster seal, a ravaging beauty with a dropkick from hell is revealed! (Source: FUNimation.com

Those are just a few suggestions. There are plenty more, I just don't want to go through them all. Let me know which ones you watch or have watched. Hell recommend some to me because I am always on the look for new manga and anime to read/watch.

Well that is all that I have for you this week. I know it is being posted late BUT at least I am posting it on Sunday. Also don't forget to check out the Kat's Anime Corner Facebook page (link is over -> on that side -> of the blog) where I will have a behind the scenes look at how I put together this blog post. So this is farewell until next week.
