VA Spotlight: Clifford Chapin

Hey guys! I'm so very sorry for being a bad blog mom. Sometimes I wish this blog could be my full time job. Unfortunately I need money to be able to afford life. My actual full time job has become a huge burden on my social and home life, but I don't mind because I love what I do and eventually it will level back out to where I can balance everything. Plus all the shit that is involved with finding a place to live and moving. I'm sure you that if you follow me on Instagram, Snapchat, or Twitter you will have an inkling of an idea that I was no longer in Minnesota. In fact, I was down south in Georgia and Florida meeting my dad's family for the first time. You never truly realize how antisocial you are until you are trapped in the sticks of Georgia with little to no internet access. That however has not kept me from anime.

Before I left Minnesota I downloaded as much anime as I could on to my phone and iPad. On my iPad, I had select episodes of Fairy Tail (only because I also had three movies downloaded for my family). On my iPhone, I had all three seasons of Junjo Romantica downloaded, the first season of Noragami, and the Japanese dub of Tokyo Ravens. If I didn't have the whole Ouran High School Host Club manga series downloaded, I would have had more.

Speaking of OHSHC, one really cool thing that happened when we went to Daytona Beach in Florida was Caitlin Glass liking and replying to a tweet from our lunch at Joe's Crab Shack on the pier.

Florida was nicer than Georgia because my uncle's house had A/C. I started missing Minnesota as soon as we left. Plus Gus and Jak (my dogs) didn't get to go with.

Anyway, enough about my vacation. You came her for the anime.

I also plan on stepping back for a few posts to veer away from anime to my other love - Korean Pop Music. But only for a few posts.

Voice Actor Spotlight: Clifford Chapin

Have you ever admired someone so much? Cliff is one of those people. He's kind, sweet, and vastly talented. I have wanted to do a VA Spotlight of him since I fell in love with his voice, but he is a newer VA. I had to wait until he gained more roles and ADR experience. He is grasping all his jobs by the balls and showing them who is boss. You also have to remember how embarrassed I was when he found out how cute I think he is. Clifford Chapin is a cute, wonderful nerd who is really good at what he does. Let's get started and take a look at his crowning achievements.

My oh my, he has been one busy man over the last few years. He's still new and has much more to give the community and I can't wait to see what happens. My absolute favorite role of Cliff's is obviously Harutora from Tokyo Ravens followed by Moroha from World Break and Raishin from Unbreakable Machine-Doll. 

What is your favorite work of Clifford's? Also, wha role do you see him fitting in an anime that is NOT English Dubbed? 

Example: 

I think he would be really good at playing Misaki Takahashi from Junjo Romantica. I think as a voice actor he would be really good taking on a role like Misaki. But that won't happen unless FUNimation gets the rights to seasons 1 and 2.

Another role I think he would be good at would be Masaki Ichijo from The Irregular at Magic High School. The Aniplex show would do well with Clifford playing the Crimson Prince.
