I’ve Been Hiding In Plain Sight

 Hey guys! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on here. It’s not that I haven’t been around...nope I have, just not on here writing. I’ve been over at the Tik of the Tok. Anime has been my life the last several weeks...months. I’ve lost track of time. I get like this...you guys know it. While I claim that K-Pop “saved my life”...I think we all know that anime is my vice. My one thing that always makes me feel better, forget, live in a new world...just exist...ya know? So yes, I have been in anime world for the last little bit. My k-pop content will return soon...but let’s talk about what I’ve been up too. 

First and foremost, I have been binge-watching anime. Whether it is rewatching an old favorite of mine or a new series, I have been watching a bunch. I am caught up on My Hero Academia - including the manga. The only thing I haven’t seen if Heroes Rising - but I preordered the DVD so I will watch that in October when it comes out. I have caught up on Haikyuu and am currently reading the manga to get caught up on that. I can’t wait for the continued season of Haikyuu, it’s gonna be great. I have also been rewatching Kuroko no Basuke which long-time KAC fans know is one of my favorite sports anime of all time. I really wanted to watch it again after getting caught up on Haikyuu. If you follow me on social media, you’ll have seen me fangirling about all things My Hero, Haikyuu, and KnB...so yeah. 

Now, for the biggest reason of my absence...TikTok. I have had a TikTok account for...years, but I had only started to putz around and post videos in 2019. Well...the last several months...I’ve been posting videos daily. See, I’ve discovered a great community: My Hero Academia OC Creators. Yep, if you follow me on Instagram @vamp1929, then I’m sure you have seen me posting about MHA a lot recently. But in particular you will have noticed...I have finally - after years of contemplating - gotten into cosplay. I’m not great at it by any means, but it’s fun to not be me for a short period of time. Now, I have also created an OC because why the fuck not. This OC has been therapeutic for me because I get to break out of my darkness for a short period of time. It also gives me a consistent schedule to work with. I typically post videos every day around 10:00 am CST and 5:00 pm CST. Usually...sometimes more, sometimes less. I always am filming new content every weekend and am usually posting the behind the scenes content on Snapchat @katrinameade. 

This is one of my more recent TikToks. My Original Character, maybe I should introduce her to you all. Her name is Nishimura Koharu. She is a Pro Hero named Cat Eye who is undercover with the League of Villains as a villain named Copycat. She is in a relationship with Pro Hero Hawks and Villain Dabi. Yes both. She is constantly torn between her good and evil side - the LOV uses this to their advantage to constantly force her to work for them. Her quirk is called Shift and allows her to take on the form or attributes of any animal - the cost? The more powerful the animal, the shorter the time she can use her quirk. She is a stealth-type hero so she typically only uses her cat form but she can basically be super strong by using like bear or gorilla strength to beat a powerful enemy. The cost is too much for her, so she likes to sneak around and be an informant.

But yeah, that’s where I’ve been for the last several months. I’m sorry honestly, I do have a bunch of blog stuff planned so please be patient and I’ll bring that out to you as fast as I can.
