Update 10/5/14

Hey guys! Can you believe that yet another month has passed? Neither can I. It is hard to believe that in just a few short months the year of 2014 will be over. It is also hard to believe that in just three short months I will be graduating from college. That is so cool!

So the month of September brought a lot of highs and a lot of lows for me. However it brought the greatest high of all time. After two and a half months since the blog hit 1000 views, Kat's Anime Corner hit 2000 views. Can you believe it? 2000 views. That is 1000 views in 2.5 months. Whoa. You guys rock and make me so happy!

Before we begin, I have an announcement to make. Remember a while back when I said that at some point I would attempt to watch Attack on Titan. Well...I finally did. In less than 24 hours I watched all 25 episodes. I am so torn on whether I liked it or not. I loved the characters and the voice actors (Japanese and English) as well as the music which was very beautiful and fit perfectly with the show. However I hated all the gore and anxiety this show gave me (I give my props to those of you who had to wait a week between episodes). Plus that ending! What kind of ending was that? Grr. So I have a favor to ask of you all, convince me in the best way possible why I should or should not love AoT. I can't decide for myself....(though Bryce Papenbrook and Yuki Kaji as Eren...two of my favorite VA's...yikes be still my heart).

September was full of ups and downs. On the very last day I started Attack on Titan (as previously mentioned). However, the blog world of Kat’s Anime Corner was filled with many goodies. I finally got around to doing my Date A Live review because the anime had finally concluded. Then I started a discussion on whether or not I liked the new Sailor Moon Crystal versus the original Sailor Moon. I actually look forward to the new world that we are shown. I also recapped my top 10 summer anime.

My top 10 Summer 2014 Anime was:
1. Sword Art Online
2. Akame ga Kill
3. Fairy Tail
4. Sailor Moon Crystal
5. The Irregular at Magic High School (I was highly disappointed that it ended)
6. Bladedance of Elementalers (so hope there is a second season)
7. Love Stage!! (slightly disappointed it was only 10 episodes, crossing my fingers for a second season)
8. Tokyo ESP (THIS NEEDS A NEXT SEASON!!!!!)
9. Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun (the ending sucked…)
10. DRAMAtical Murder (I was really disappointed with this…it felt too rushed)

I also did a manga review of one of my favorite yaoi series, Totally Captivated. I had such a hard time writing it because I struggled to not spoil too much. Then I announced the start of a new series for the Kat’s Anime Facebook page called Recommend It! Speaking of which…there is a new Recommend It up today, it’s about Akame ga Kill. Finally I discussed how I manage writing an anime blog, going to school, and working. I also discussed the top female voice actors of the English anime world. Then I wrapped it all up with a quick AMV take 2. Showing off my new AMV’s.

I cannot wait to see what these next couple months bring me with starting my internship and all. Here’s to a good rest of the year.

As mentioned previously in a blog (I believe), I won't know for certain until the season starts, but there are a few anime out there I will have my eye on. This season is going to be a tough one to keep up with daily as I am going into one of my toughest quarters of school, but I am certainly not giving up.

Continuing from the Summer season are:

- Akame ga Kill! which will start off the Fall season with its 14th episode (Esdeath and Tatsumi reunited? Haha.)

- Sailor Moon Crystal which will probably continue for a long while as the series only airs an episode every other week (The next episode is about Sailor Venus!!)

- Sword Art Online 2 which will start off the Fall season with its 14th episode and an exciting episode it will be with the cliffhanger we were left off with last time (I realize that by the time I am posting this the episode will have already aired - as I type this it is 9/28/14...this is going up on 10/5/14)

Some of the new Fall shows I am keeping my eye on:

- Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de which is set to air October 7th, 2014. This show kind of reminds me of a mix between Haganai and 11 Eyes. It looks really interesting. Plus the main character Jurai Ando is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto (the voice of Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist)

- Or, Twintails ni Narimasu which is set to air October 10th, 2014. The artwork reminds me of Date a Live and funnily enough Date a Live's Shido's voice actor Nobunaga Shimazaki is playing the main character Soji Mitsuka. I'll keep my eye on this one.

- Orenchi no Furo Jijou which is set to air October 6th, 2014. It's about a merman...need I say more?

- Trinity Seven: 7-nin no Mahoutsukai which is set to air October 8th, 2014. This is the one I am most excited about. I can't decide what it reminds me of but I am really excited about watching it because it looks like it is right up my alley. Plus the main character Arata Kasuga is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. Don't know who that is? Well it is the one and only Kazuto Kirigaya more famously known as KIRITO. (Plus Rie Kugimiya is in it and we all love her! Right? What about Shinichiro Miki...or am I the only one who gets excited whenever his crazy ass character's pop up?)

As for the rest. I will let you all know when the time comes. As it is, I don't know what I will watch but these are certain shows I will watch at least one episode of (if I like it I'll watch the entire season!).

What shows are you looking forward to?

So another announcement as to an anime I want you all to look out for. Seraph of the End is going to be an anime! I cannot believe it! It is currently one of my favorite manga series that I am currently reading (I preorder the volumes so that I can get them when they are released). It's a vampire story that is beautifully done plus there is a load of mystery in it. Especially when you learn about the phrase "Seraph of the End" and what it means to the story. Eek. Plus I have a major crush on Yuichiro and Mikaela.

So each week I announce a character who I will be profiling. This week's Character of the Week is:

Kazuto Kirigaya aka Kirito

from Sword Art Online

A fourteen-year-old gamer who has always immersed himself in anything computer. He is one of the thousands who was trapped in Sword Art Online. He was known as a Beater and the Black Swordsman because of his massive skill and the fact that he was a BETA tester. He gains a special skill known as Dual Wielding. Being the strongest player, he wins the game.

Unfortunately his love interest was one of several hundred players who never woke up after SAO was defected. This forced Kirito into the virtual world once again to save his lady love. ALFheim Online is the game where he gained more experience and saved the remaining SAO gamers.

A while later after working with the government, he is asked to enter the game Gun Gale Online and unmask the killer Death gun.

This lady killer has trapped the hearts of many women.

- Asuna, his girlfriend

- Suguha, his cousin

- Liz, his friend

- Shino, his friend

Just to name a few. Though he has eyes only for Asuna who he would give his life for.

If you were to ever have a friend from an anime, this would be the guy you'd want. He's badass, loyal, and a (seemingly) normal person.

Want to see your favorite character featured on Character of the Week? Let me know in the comments below, on Twitter, on Tumblr, or on Facebook. (If you use Twitter or Tumblr tag me and use the hashtag #CharacteroftheWeek).

That is it this week guys. I am going to start my internship tomorrow, so wish me luck.

Until next week. See you later!

Ja ne. (p.s. keep reading for Naruto and Bleach manga review)

xx Kat
=^.^=

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Naruto Manga fans. This is for you. The only hope that I have for Sasuke living to see the end of this fight is that he still sees Naruto as his best friend...plus he finally said it out loud. Let's cheer for him to lose to Naruto and finally return to Konoha as the future Hokage's best friend.

...and Bleach sucked.
