Hey guys! So last week was certainly an unfortunate update...I didn't post until Wednesday but I did say that I would give you a bonus list this week. And obviously I was slacking this week as well. I just seem to be so busy on the weekends. However unlike last week...I wasn't close to finishing this week update. It was really hard to sort through my thoughts on this. Let's hope you enjoy. And as a future note...these updates may stay wonky like this until I get a formatted schedule. So to kick off the blog here it is.

So you have no idea how hard this damn list was to create. Yeah it seems easy at first but damn...I don't even think I could do a top 100 of the hottest male characters without this amount of struggle. Geez.

Top 10 Yaoi Manga
Bet you didn't see this blog going there! Or maybe you did. I don't remember what I say from one week to another...so I may have already discussed this. Well anyway. It should be foreshadowing for what is to come later in the blog. Now I know what you'll think looking at this list. No, I didn't not copy my Top 10 Yaoi Couples list. This just seemed to work out that it almost perfectly correlates with that list. Let's do this.

On a side note, I didn't add the Junjou Romantica and Seikaiichi Hatsukoi series for a reason. As those are series of their own calibre and each contains numerous stories that feel like you are ready multiple series at a time.
Manga Review: Brother x Brother

I thought for some reason that I had already done a review of this manga series but I guess I haven't. The main couple Souichirou and Kaname were number 2 out of 10 on my Top 10 Yaoi Couples list in the 3/22/15 update. I would actually love to own this series like I do with Totally Captivated but it isn't available in English.
This 26 chapter series from 2005 is about three brothers who are brought together by their father's will. The will states as follows: "That house will be given to the person who stays till the end of the one month grace period". The eldest brother Shirakawa Masato only lived with Kaoru (the father) in the house for eight years after Kaoru married his mother, who later died, as his second wife. The second brother Shirakawa Kaname lived in the house for five years with Kaoru and Masato after his relative Kaoru took him in when his mother passed away. The last brother Sonooka Souichirou lived with Kaoru and his mother in the house for 10 years until his parents divorced and Souichirou moved to Hokkaido with his mother and changing his last name from Shirakawa to Sonooka. While Masato and Kaname refer to Kaoru as their father the only one who is blood related is Souichirou. It is never clear as to how Kaname is related to Kaoru.
Despite everything, all three brothers live together while barely tolerating one another. Masato and Kaname have history with each other having lived together for five years. This leaves Souichirou feeling like an outsider. He doesn't let it bother him, at least not until he walks in one night to find Masato and Kaname kissing in the kitchen. Souichirou is disturbed and wonders what kind of relationship they have not understanding much about them. Once he learns the truth about their past, Souichirou hardens his heart and sets out to fight them fair and square for the house that should rightfully be his.
Souichirou is approximately 18 years old.
Masato is approximately 25 years old
Kaname is approximately 21 years old.
This sweet love story has a lot of darkness entwined in the back story. It is hard to hate this series and it doesn't hurt that the characters are so beautifully drawn. Plus the story is easy to follow despite following several different characters. At least I think it is...but I've read this story more times than I can count.
Read the story about these brothers who are learning about themselves as well as those around them.
I give this series a 9/10.
